Sometimes you don’t want dimension or hand-painting or a gradient. You want your hair to be one beautiful, even color — richer, deeper, warmer, or simply covered.
That’s single-process color, and it’s the most straightforward service on our color menu. One formula, applied root to end, giving you uniform tone and complete gray coverage. It’s the right choice when you’re changing your shade, reviving color that’s faded, or covering gray fully rather than blending it.
Full gray coverage — Unlike blending techniques, single-process color covers gray completely and opaquely. If you want your grays gone rather than softened, this is the service.
Changing your shade — Going darker, warmer, cooler, or richer across your whole head. It’s the cleanest way to make a real change to your base color.
Reviving faded color — Color fades, especially reds and deep tones. An all-over refresh brings back the saturation.
Most appointments run about 90 minutes to two hours. If your hair is long or dense enough to need extra product, we’ll tell you before we start.
Here’s the thing worth understanding: after your first all-over color, you generally shouldn’t keep pulling color through the whole head every time. Repeatedly re-coloring already-colored ends is how hair goes muddy, dark, and straw-textured.
Once you have your color, maintenance should be a root touch-up — color on new growth only with a gloss to refresh the ends if they need it. That’s healthier, cheaper, and looks better. We’ll set you up on that rhythm after your first service.
Single-process color is beautiful but it is, by design, one tone. If you find it reads flat, a few foil highlights or lowlights woven in adds depth without changing your base. A lot of clients start with all-over color and add dimension over time.
From $105 with a blowout, or $135 with a cut and blowout. Very long or thick hair may need an extra color charge from $30, which we’ll confirm before starting.
Yes — single-process color gives full, opaque gray coverage. If you’d prefer softer blending instead, we’d suggest highlights or a men’s camo service depending on your goal.
Your ends hold color for months, but roots show in four to eight weeks. After the first service, most clients maintain with root touch-ups rather than repeating the full application.
Only somewhat. Permanent color doesn’t lift much on its own — going notably lighter requires lightener, which means foils or balayage. We’ll tell you what’s realistic at the consultation.
Single-process color is one of the gentler color services, especially compared to lightening. The main risk is over-processing from repeatedly coloring the same hair — which is exactly why we move you to root touch-ups afterward.
